UKAS BEIS UKCA webinar from 29th September 2021 The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) (now the Department for Business and Trade) and UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) jointly hosted a webinar for Conformity Assessment Bodies covering the new UKCA marking, the implementation of the UKCA regime, as well as the accreditation process.

Following the end of the transition period, businesses are encouraged to be ready for full implementation of the new UK regime as soon as possible. We understand that implementing these changes can be time consuming and strongly encourage businesses to begin preparing for the new requirements as soon as possible.

In order to help businesses prepare for the new UK regime, the Department for Business and Trade has published updated guidance on a range of topics:

Placing UKCA and CE marked goods on the GB market from 1st January 2021

Placing manufactured goods on the EU market from 1st January 2021

Prepare to use the UKCA marking from 1st January 2021

Updated guidance confirms that the UKCA mark (and the UKNI mark) must both be at least 5mm high unless a different minimum dimension is specified in the relevant legislation

Conformity assessment bodies: status from 1st January 2021

For the Northern Ireland Market
